We know it as the sound of freedom.

Beginning today and occurring daily through Saturday, the U.S. Navy’s famous flight demonstration squadron – the Blue Angels – will streak, soar and roar in the skies over Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach as thousands of fans look on.

It’s all part of the Pensacola Beach Air Show, the annual event that features the Blues and reminds us that the United States military serves around the clock around the world protecting our freedoms.

The event unofficially began Wednesday morning as the six pilots and their blue and gold F/A-18 Hornets executed their “circle and arrival” maneuvers.
